Half.com is owned by ebay and functions almost flawlessly just like ebay does. The difference between the two is in the pricing. ebay lists most items as auction pricing, meaning the price can change from minute-to-minute with the high bidder receiving the item. Half.com offers fixed pricing only. If you like the item and the price — you just buy it right then and there.

Like ebay, Half.com lists not just used items, but also new items. Many companies are now selling new items on Half.com. These items are often open-box items, items missing the original box, factory seconds, blemished items, last-year's models, etc. The prices are generally terrific on these items.

Most sellers have some type of limited return policy in case the item arrives damaged or you just aren't happy with it. Depending on the seller, you will several payment options.

Unfortunately, they don't carry much in the sporting goods area any longer.
